Sweet Little Things, Bath | REVIEW

Sweet Little Things, Bath flower wall

On our recent trip to Bath, Sam and I had time to squeeze in a visit to Sweet Little Things and sample their delicious cakes (one of my favourite things, as you certainly know by now). We’d heard loads of wonderful things about the charming décor and their reliably tasty dishes from Sam’s sis (who recently graduated from Bath University, yay!) and we were both really excited to grab a seat.

And the cute café was every bit as gorgeous as we’d expected. A stone’s throw from the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey, Sweet Little Things is the perfect central food spot when playing tourist. With an idyllic floral setting and a delicious selection of sweet treats, afternoon tea and brunch options, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Just try not to drool all over your keyboard while reading my Sweet Little Things review, you’ve been warned!

The Food (the important part!)

The Sweet Little Things menu includes plenty of healthy dishes for all tastes and dietary requirements – read: gluten free and vegan options! From toasted sourdough brunch, pancakes and acai smoothie bowls to indulgent afternoon tea treats and speciality lattes, I can guarantee you’ll try something new here that’ll set you off on the right foot. After ordering cake and a cuppa (I couldn’t resist their signature beetroot chai latte), it wasn’t long until we got lost in conversation and had completely devoured our desserts.

Instagrammable décor

One thing that impressed me endlessly is the attention to detail. I loved their carefully curated menu (see that cute little bear face on my chai latte?), gorgeous setting featuring pink walls covered in flowers, velvet seats and floral teapots and teacups. And did I just see a swing downstairs? Yes, that’s right! Sweet Little Things is the ideal way to spend a day with your girls or on a date. And to be honest, I’d happily sit there without the food and simply enjoying the dreamy décor. Did I mention it’s 100% Instagrammable?

I had the gluten free pancakes with berry compote when I was lucky enough to have breakfast here. As I am coeliac I am often anxious about eating out but they were very reassuring and equally tasty. Definitely a must each time I visit Bath. I love the little bear face on your drink!
Great blog as always – your photos really bring the place to life. Looking forward to my next visit there!

You are totally right. All the Instagram photos can be taken here! It’s gorgeous and super cute! I love the fact they have gluten and vegan options. Places with a variety of dietary choices are definitely some of my favorite places! Not to mention the drink you chose and the bear they made out of it? Adorable and the talent required to make that is impressive.

Now that is one of the most beautiful cafes I’ve ever seen! I’ve always wanted to visit Bath actually, especially for the Christmas market so I’ll need to remember about it so I can visit it when I’m there! X
